Harold Ackerman Issue 8

Harold Ackerman would like to write As I Lay Dying, but Faulkner took his idea. He has published poems, essays, an interview with Joy Kogawa, and, most recently, “I Give Birth,” which his wife says is fiction. In retirement from teaching, he has come to terms with an earlier passion for photography and has been exploring odd contacts between light and surfaces. They appeal to him and, he hopes, to others.
